My childhood friend, who I promised to marry in the future, came back as a swordsman

Chapter 201: Shall we go home?

{TL: By Creed}

When I turned around, there was Aisha with Licorice perched on her head.

Why is she here!?

Panicking, I looked at Licorice, who met my gaze and made a "sorry, sorry" gesture.

I was about to complain...

But then, Licorice gently patted Aisha’s head.

"Trust this girl."

With those words, I couldn't say anything else.

Just like how we were worried about Snow, Aisha was concerned too.
She wanted to do something about it.
I had forgotten something so obvious.

"..."

I wanted to run over immediately and take her somewhere safe.
But that wasn't necessarily the right choice.

What I needed to do was watch over Aisha.

"Snow."

Aisha took a step forward, moving closer to Snow.

Licorice trembled slightly on her head, seeming frightened…
Well, I decided to pretend I didn't see that.

"Grr...!"
"It's okay."

Snow growled in warning, but Aisha didn't run away.
She wasn’t afraid.

With her usual gentle expression, she spread her arms wide, as if inviting Snow in.

Seeing that, Snow hesitated and took a step back.

Aisha wasn’t doing anything.
She was just smiling as usual.
And yet, Snow was overwhelmed.

"Grr... Aaaargh...!?"

Snow was in pain.

She was probably fighting against her own destructive instincts.

I didn’t know why she had ended up like this,
why she had lost control and been consumed by the urge to destroy everything.

Aisha was no exception—Snow had almost sunk her fangs into her.

But she didn’t want to do that.
She absolutely didn’t want to.

Her conscience was fighting back, and it was causing her agony.

"You can do it."

Aisha took another step closer.

Snow was now just inches away.

She looked up at Snow’s large form…

And smiled.

"Let's go home, okay?"

"Aaaaaaaargh!!!"

Snow roared—

"Snow."

Aisha gently touched Snow.

In that instant, light overflowed.

"Ugh... W-What is this!?"
"I don't know, but..."

It didn’t feel unpleasant.

On the contrary, it was warm and comforting...

Bathed in this light, I felt an overwhelming sense of peace.

"Hmm."

The source of the light was Aisha.

I had no idea what was happening, but she was glowing.

Her hair swayed gently...
Her tail fluttered softly...
And in the midst of it all, she radiated a silver-white light.

Was it an immense surge of magic?

No, it didn’t feel like magic.

Even Licorice looked bewildered, staring blankly at the phenomenon.

"Snow, let’s go home?"

"…Kuun."

Amazing.

Snow was gradually shrinking… returning to her original size.

Her fur, which had turned black, was reverting to its natural silver color.

"Is this… Aisha’s doing?"
"I don’t know..."

Sofia and I could only stand there in stunned silence.

It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to call this a phenomenon beyond human comprehension.

And then...

"Woof! Huff, huff…!"
"Hehe, there, there."

Now back in her original form, Snow leaped into Aisha’s arms, clinging to her like a child seeking comfort from its mother.

Aisha held the small puppy securely...

And with the brightest smile, she embraced her tightly.

TL Note: Snow is back to normal, Aisha for the win.

Chapter 1: The reality that I longed for is harsh and painful {TL: By Creed} "Hey, don't stroll around leisurely, you Useless man!" Insults were flying, and the target was me. "I-I'm... sorry..." My reply came out in gasps, as it should. After all, I was carrying a load that was tens of kilos heavier than my own body. In such a state, I had been walking through the dungeon for hours without a break. It was non-stop. It was only natural that I was out of breath, my clothes drenched in sweat, as if I had been doused in water. I wondered if I was experiencing dehydration; my legs were wobbly, and I felt like I might collapse if I let my guard down. "Hurry up, you slacker! You're practically useless except for carrying stuff," Sigurd, the leader of the A-rank party 'Flarebird,' berated me. He held the title of 'Swordmaster' and was the party's main attacker, constantly in action. "Sigurd, you're such a brute. Fate is so...

Chapter 4 Party formation {TL: By Creed} After that, we changed locations and moved to a different inn and restaurant. Since Sigurd and the others stayed behind, I'm not sure what happened to them, but... It seems like Sigurd took an incredibly powerful blow, so he probably won't wake up for a while. "Sister, I'll have orange juice and a parfait." "..." "What about Fate?" "..." "Fate, what's wrong?" "Huh!?" When asked the question, I snapped back to reality. "Oh, um, yeah. Sorry... um, I'll have coffee, please." "Okay. Orange juice and coffee. And a parfait, right? Please wait a moment." The waitress nodded and left. Alone again, I looked at Sofia once more. "It's been a while, Fate." "...Is it really you, Sofia?" "Yes, it's me. Or does Fate see someone else when Fate looks at me?" "No, it's not like that. I would never mistake my precious...

Chapter 3 Escape from the current situation and reunion {TL By: Creed} "What's going on, you incompetent fool!!!" "Guah!?" Sigurd's angry voice was hurled at me, and then I was struck again. I was thrown to the floor. This place was an inn and dining hall, so there were other customers present. However, Sigurd had a notorious reputation as a rough adventurer, and nobody wanted to get involved. Naturally, they pretended not to notice me. However... Being a slave, even if someone with good intentions were to stand up for me, they couldn't help me. How slaves were treated was entirely up to their master. There were no human rights. "You dropped the loot we worked so hard to get, didn't you? Hey, hey, hey! What the hell are you doing? How much do you think today's earnings have decreased because of you?" "I'm sorry... Ugh!?" I was kicked hard in the abdomen. It was a powerful blow that lifted me off the ground. It hurt. I cu...
